Club Bye-Laws ( Short Version) 2011
- The Secretary shall issue every year to all members who have paid their subscriptions a duly
Numbered, Dated and Signed Membership Card ( Non Transferable) , Club cards are to be carried at
all times, and must be produced upon demand when asked for by a Club Bailiff or an Adult member.
- A full copy of the clubs Present Bye-laws will be available to all full members upon request to the
Secretary at a charge of £2.50 to cover photocopying and postage. The Short Version version will be
issued to all new members.
- All fish are to be returned at the end of the day no fish are to be removed from any club water without
the prior approval of both the Environment Agency and the Management Committee, any member
found guilty of breaking this rule will receive a life time ban from the Ynys Mon A.A .
- No species of fish are to be introduced in to any club water without the prior approval of both the
Environment Agency and the Management Committee, any member found guilty of breaking this rule will receive a life time ban from the Ynys Mon A.A.
- Any members who knowingly leaves litter, Rubbish, Tackle (Line, Hooks, Ground bait bags etc. on any
club water shall be issued with a formal warning by the committee. Any subsequent reoccurrence of this
offence will result in the member being expelled from the club, without right of appeal.
6 Only LEAD shot below size 8 to be used on club waters all other shot MUST be lead free.
7 All nets MUST be dipped; any member breaking this rule will receive a lifetime ban from the Ynys Mon
A.A (Without Right of Appeal).
8 A No Bloodworm or Joker is allowed on any club water. 9.
- The Competition Secretaries word is final regarding Weight, Size, and Fish Type during ALL Club
Competitions., Any complaint must be sent in Writing to the Hon. Secretary within 7 Days. The
committee’s decision will be final on all matters.
- Members MUST hold a Valid Environment Agency Licence, which is to be carried at all times, failure to be in procession of a Licence while fishing any club water will mean that you will be asked to leave by the Club Bailiff without right of appeal.
- All club competitions are to be notified to all members no later than the 2nd week of January each year, in the form of a written Match Calendar Giving details of Venues, Date and Draw Times. Any changes to venues are to be notified at least 7 days in advance.
- To maintain all club waters, at times there will be a need to hold working parties , as and when required, all working parties will be on a voluntary basis and will be notified via the monthly minutes or telephone or email.
13 Only Keepnets / Landing nets of a SAFE Type are to be used on Club Waters. I.e. Maver or Carp Mesh
or Micro Mesh all nets to be knot free.
14 Members will agree that by taking out Membership of the Ynys Mon Angling Association that they will
when asked by either an appointed Bailiff / Warden show their Environment Agency Rod Licence,
failure show the licence or not to have a valid licence will mean being both having to leave the venue
they are using and being reported to the committee.
- Barbless hooks ONLY are to be use on , Breakwater Park, Tacan, Nantanog. On Maelog Lake when
fishing for PIKE semi-barbed hooks maybe used.
- The maximum hook size to be used on any club water will be a size 8 Barbless, with the exception of Maelog Lake when fishing for PIKE when Semi-Barbed hooks maybe used, the Maximum line or braid braking strain shall be 12lbs.
17 Landing net's to be used for all fish over half a pound/ 250 Grams and not to be swung to hand no
CARP over 51bs are to be kept in Keepnets, (Apart from Matches.
18 No member shall fish any venue that is on the official match calendar 24 hours prior to the match date.
19 The Padlock Security at Nantanog shall be changed on a monthly basis with the new code being notified
to the all members via the monthly minutes Members must close and lock the gate as they leave.
The Five (5) pegs on the left hand side of the peninsula can only be fished upon between the 1st June and 31st January.
- The aim of the club is to support the sport of Angling and to open the sport to anyone regardless of their
gender or abilities.
- Any adult member has the right to challenge any person found to be fishing upon a club water and ask
to see either a valid membership card or Day ticket and if they do not hold either to ask them to leave
the said water.
